Mariea Antoinette is an extraordinary African American jazz harpist who has powerfully redefined the boundaries of her instrument. Classically trained, she began her musical journey in San Diego and pursued her undergraduate studies in music at the University of California, San Diego (U.C.S.D.), followed by master’s work in harp performance at the University of Arizona. With this foundation, she has emerged as an internationally celebrated recording artist, composer, scholar, and electrifying live performer whose work spans smooth jazz, R&B, and soul. Her innovative artistry and stage presence have led her to share the stage with legendary artists such as KEM and Smokey Robinson, solidifying her role as a leading voice in contemporary jazz. Her work has been featured on three national magazine covers, including LA Wire Magazine, Backlink Magazine, and Heatseekers Magazine, and she is the proud recipient of the Black History Makers Award, celebrating her contributions to culture, excellence, and musical innovation.
